GLOBAL WARMING: EVENTS AND ITS IMPLICATIONS
namely global climate change (Global
Climate Change) such as Shifting the global climate map, Climate Anomalies, Floods,
Droughts, Hurricanes, Rising sea levels, etc., have caused losses
and has even threatened the sustainability of life on planet earth.
Studies show that we need to reduce emissions by about 7.6% per year starting
from 2020 to 2030 to keep the earth's temperature from exceeding
1.5ᵒC and 2.7% per year and still have to keep it below 2ᵒC.
Therefore, there are now many initiative steps to reduce Gas Emissions Greenhouse. From a business point of view, an alternative is designed, including through: "CARBON PRICING". Countries that produce a lot of Greenhouse Gas Emissions must compensate countries that produce Oxygen O2. Among them are providing incentives to countries/institutions that carry out programs reforestation (keeping land cover green through forest planting/Reforestation) and environmentally friendly energy conversion (replacing the use of energy sourced from fossil to non-fossil green energy).
To that end, the Corporate Banking Funding Team held an Internal Sharing Session with the theme “GLOBAL WARMING: EVENTS AND ITS IMPLICATIONS” on Wednesday, October 13 2021 to provide information and knowledge to the team under Corporate Banking Directorate (CBD). The Corporate Banking Funding Team invites Sinarmas Advisor, Dr Asep Karsidi as a resource person in this internal sharing session. He is a Lecturer at FMIPA and SIL University of Indonesia, where he also served as Deputy Minister Coordinator in 2007 – 2010.
The Corporate Banking Funding team also invited Mr. Fredy Wang, he is the Head of Sales of PT Surya Utama Nuansa, where he delivered material about SUNterra Solar Panels to share product knowledge about the benefits using SUNterra Solar Panels as a solution to save electricity and bring clean and renewable energy sources. The purpose of the internal sharing session is to increase Team awareness Corporate Banking Directorate on the issue of global warming which is increasingly being discussed and so that the SUNterra solar panel feature can be informed to bank customers Sinarmas, both individual and corporate.
